Hamas missiles have killed Israeli citizens and destroyed their temples for too long. It’s time to put stop to that. The regime of terrorists and suicide-bombers clearly proved, they have no intention to bring peace to the Middle East, when they refused to extend the negotiated cease-fire. More missiles that soak the soil of Salomon’s land with blood of his children are a mockery to our democratic principles. But operation Cast Lead is not war neither revenge. We don’t kill Palestinian civilians. We only care for the safety of Israel, and if we have to stand with weapons in hands, so be it.

The sparklers in the windows of the christian world hadn’t cooled down when the borders of the Gaza Strip opened. No man came out, but an armored column poured into the Palestinian Autonomy. This dramatic LARP is inspired by[newcol] the controversial attack of Israeli units on Islamist terrorists in January 2009. Group of nine people is forced to take cover from heavy fire into one of the abadoned flats in the city of Gaza. They are divided by their religion, political opinions and possibly by something more.

The themes of this game are based on multicultural conflict and touch every aspect of human life , from the role of women in society to religion and ideology conflicts. Because of this complexity and the need to understand the nature of the conflict we suggest an 18+ restriction.

You don’t have to do any special preparations for the game, but you are welcome to. All the essential information will be provided along with the character on spot. If you have an Arab scarf (keffiyeh), by all means bring it with you.

Babel is surrealistic drama experience about the power of the words. In the near future an epidemic spread through the whole Earth. It’s called the ‘Babel virus’. It is attacking the human brain, the centre of speech. Who get ill, forget how to speak, read or write. To say it simple, it’s a brain disease which makes you forget how to use words.

The known communication ways between people are impossible, part of the world fall into chaos and anarchy. But surprisingly, many choose to continue to work and live as they lived before the virus. They try to do their jobs and everyday life speechless. Time has passed, humanity does survive in this new situation, but people are lonely islands without the Words. Slowly it will drive them insane.

The story

David Burke, a spectacular young scientist discovered something.[newcol] There is a way to remember Words, even to use them. If one sees a word and the right picture showing the meaning, for a short period of time, he is able to remember how to use it, how to understand it. But not every kind of visual impression is good for this, the theory says, the picture must be connected somehow to the collective unconscious.

So David with his close friend Peter Smith began to work on this theory and made some cards. Who is seeing the cards, able to use the words on it. But to find the right picture for the right word is a huge work, and David knows he needs help on this.

With the few cards he already has, he arranges a scientific meeting with his former co-workers, and convinces them that the Wordcards is a good idea and ask for their help. The game is this actual meeting, where some unexpected events happen.[newspread]

Few words about the language

The game language is English. Due to the special set-up, you need only a basic talking skill during the game play, but you need to[newcol] understand the written concept of your character very well. If you have any problem with the latest, of course we help you out.

Vláda teroristů a atentátníků jasně ukázala, že nemá snahu udržet mírový proces na Blízkém Východě, když odmítla prodloužit vyjednané příměří. Další střely, z nichž krvácí půda Šalamounových dětí, jsou jen výsměchem našim demokratickým zásadám. Avšak operace Lité olovo není válkou a není ani odvetou. Nezabíjíme palestinské civilisty. Jde nám o zajištění bezpečnosti Izraele a obnovení mírových snah. A pokud je to nutné, ano, budeme tyto principy hájit se zbraní v ruce.

Ještě nevychladly prskavky v oknech křesťanského světa, když se otevřely hranice střeženého Pásma Gazy. Ven nikdo nevyšel, ale těžká vojenská technika začala proudit dovnitř Palestinské autonomie. [newcol]Napínavý larp čerpá z prostředí kontroverzního útoku izraelských jednotek proti muslimským teroristům z ledna letošního roku. Skupina devíti lidí je nucena ukrýt se před palbou do jednoho z vybydlených bytů v městě Gaza. Rozděluje je víra, politické přesvědčení a možná i něco víc.

Nastolená témata těží z multikulturního střetu a zahrnují celou oblast lidského života od role ženy ve společnosti až po náboženské a ideologické rozpory. I pro tuto komplexnost a nutnost správného pochopení podstaty konfliktu, doporučujeme larp hráčům od 18 let.

Na hru se není nutné nějak speciálně připravovat, byť iniciativě se meze nekladou. Všechny podstatné informace získáte společně se svojí postavou přímo na místě. Pouze máte-li doma arabský šátek (tzv. “arafatku”), můžete ji vzít s sebou.

The Room X is the worst thing that befell the super-hero world since Batman’s cape got stuck in his Bat-grapple-gun winch… Room X is a special torture chamber built for his amusement by Dr. Evil himself. There are no hooks, knives or blowlamps in it, no, just series of puzzles, brain-twisters and riddles. He, who solves them all, can safely leave. But no superhero managed to beat the Room X so far. Each one who tried ended up broken, crying, begging Dr. Evil for mercy.

The Evillains is a short LARP set in the world of comicbook heroes and villains. It is a fun game in which you take on roles of super-villains trapped in their own trap. In order to escape, they must lay aside their differences and cooperate. Beside playing the over-the-top role, you will solve puzzles and logic riddles and manipulate various gadgets. Being a super-villian is inhumanely fun!

Star is a romantic comedy chamber LARP.Don’t expect any “hard” themes – death, murder, faith, humiliation, radical political outlooks, Sophia’s choices or psychic terror. Just common stuff – love, joy and sadness. Common themes like relationships, work and money. No conspiracies, just a bunch of partying filmmakers.
In this LARP, you can fully enjoy your character, set out to rock in the high society of Hollywood and have fun with others. Main pint of this LARP is in playing your role, elaborate quests or complicated plot are irrevelant. Star is a LARP, that will leave you smiling.

The game is built on the cliches of romantic comedy genre, in this case revolving around middle-aged Hollywood director Richmond Hurtis. Richmond had six big love-affairs during his life, but none of them ended with marriage. He just got engaged to the seventh love of his life and he believes she is the one. He never[newcol]introduced her to his friends… until now, until this special party. Well, you can’t miss THAT!

This parti is going to be big, and that calls for little extravagance. It’s Hollywood, for Pete’s sake. You don’t have to wear Cindarellas dress but leave your favourite old cargos. We said it’s a party, right?

Ars Amandi — sex in Star

You can’t have a party like this without sex. On the other hand, players are expected to respect certain line between game and reality. Romantic comedy being the main ispiration of this game will reflect in the characters courting, flirting and seducing. This all will happen only on the level of talking and touching hands-arms. There’s “romantic” not “erotic” in the genre, after all.

To express intimate contact, players will employ method of simulating the act by touching the other player’s arm. Players will wear gloves, so there will be[newspread]no direct contact. These technique, called Ars Amandi, will be thoroughly explained in the pre-game workshop. The 18+ restiction then doesn’t reflect presence of any real sexual contact, but rather need for certain coposedness and[newcol]experience. There will be no explicit sexual act in the game and it isn’t the purpose of the game.
